Commonly used inspection equipment in CNC machining factories
The commonly used inspection equipment in CNC machining manufacturers is mainly used to ensure that the dimensional accuracy, shape tolerance, surface quality and other aspects of the workpiece meet the design requirements. The following are common detection devices and their uses:
1.Basic measuring tools
Caliper (vernier caliper/digital caliper)
Purpose: To measure length, inner and outer diameters, depth, etc.
Accuracy: usually ±0.02mm

Micrometer (screw micrometer)
Application: High-precision measurement of outer diameter and thickness (such as shaft parts).
Accuracy: ±0.01mm or higher.

Plug gauge/ring gauge
Purpose: To quickly detect whether the size of the hole or shaft is qualified (through and stop gauge).
Feature: Suitable for batch inspection

2. Precision measuring instruments
Height gauge (height gauge)
Usage: Measuring the height of workpieces, step differences, marking lines, etc.
Extended function: When paired with a probe, it can perform two-dimensional measurements.

Projector (optical comparator)
Purpose: By optically magnifying the contour, it compares complex shapes (such as gears, threads).
Advantages: Non-contact measurement, suitable for thin-walled or soft materials.
